The Impact of Intramural Grants on Educators’ Careers and on Medical Education Innovation

The UCSF Haile T. Debas Academy of Medical Educators has published a study on the impact of intramural education grants.  This study concluded based on the principal investigators’ perceptions that these grants create innovative, enduring programs, promote educators’ professional identity formation, foster collaborations, support junior faculty, provide advancement opportunities, and raise the local and national profiles of recipients. Anna Chang, MD, Associate Director of Education and Leadership for Tideswell at UCSF, served as chair of the innovations funding work group and is a co-author of this study.
